Yes. Your file is transmitted to our secure encryption server using encrypted TLS/SSL channels. Once the password is applied and the new file is generated, the original document is immediately deleted from our system. We do not read, store, or share your data.
What happens if I forget the password I set?
If you lose or forget the password, the PDF cannot be opened or recovered by our system. Since the encryption is cryptographically secure and we do not store your passwords, it is critical that you keep a safe record of the passcode you choose.
Will protecting the PDF alter its formatting or layout?
No. The encryption process only locks the file container. When the document is unlocked by an authorized user, all fonts, images, pages, and alignments will appear exactly as they did in the original file.
